What data is collected?

Access logs

When you visit this site and its pages, server-side access logs are automatically collected, on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR, by the server making the site available for you to browse. Access logs include information such as IP address, requested URL, bytes served, user agent, referrer, and timestamp.

All internet communications require Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and can not function in their absence. In other words, providing your IP address is a prerequisite to view this website. Without it, the server could not send you the data to view it. That being said, the provision of your IP address is neither a statutory nor contractual requirement, and you are not obliged to provide it. There are no consequences of not providing it, other than not being able to view this website.

This website does not use any cookies or other similar technologies to track its visitors.

This website contains so-called hyperlinks to other websites. Clicking on a hyperlink will take you to the linked website. This website accepts no responsibility for the confidential handling of your data on third-party websites, as it has no influence over this. How is your data used?

Access logs are used for the purposes of ensuring network and information security, such as preventing unlawful or malicious actions, unauthorized access, or cyber-attacks. Additionally, access logs enable anonymized networking analytics, such as to help learn about when and from where traffic flows to this website. Your personal data is only collected and used to ensure proper functioning of the website. An analysis of this data for marketing purposes does not take place. These purposes constitute a legitimate interest in data processing on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR, as described in more detail in Recital 49.

Netlify hosting

This site’s hosting provider, Netlify, Inc., automatically stores access logs including the IP address, user-agent, URL and timestamp of website vists. These access logs are stored for up to 30 days. Netlify uses these logs to monitor and maintain website functionality, support the debugging of errors, and provide website traffic analytics.

Transfer of data

In order to provide this site publicly, Netlify and its sub-processors may transfer and process data in locations outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). In this regard, Netlify provides privacy protection to comply with GDPR regulations and other privacy laws in jurisdictions in which they operate.

Automated decision-making

This website does not perform automated individual decision-making, including profiling, based on collected personal data that may produce legal effects or significantly affect its visitors.

How is data stored?

Netlify stores access logs for a limited time period of no longer than 30 days and protects them with encryption. I do not access this data myself. Should I access or receive access logs, any personal data they contain will only be stored temporarily and deleted as soon as possible, unless there is a legitimate reason not to do so.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have numerous rights with respect to the personal data this site may hold, including:
